The McGee Group tabs Simpson as sales director

In new role, Simpson will lead training efforts for sales team

MARIETTA, Ga. – The McGee Group, a family-owned, American eyewear company specializing in the design and production of eyewear, sunglasses, readers, and cases, is pleased to announce the promotion of Kathryn Simpson to the position of Sales Development Director. As part of the Corporate Sales Team at The McGee Group, she will be responsible for developing and implementing an onboarding and training program for the sales team.

Simpson began her career at The McGee Group as a marketing intern, following her graduation from the University of Georgia. In her 12 years at the company, she has managed domestic and international trade shows, grown the online sales channel, supported all channels of distribution, and worked directly with outside sales representatives to grow their business.

She has earned the respect of those around her at The McGee Group, as well as the broader optical community. Simpson is the company’s ambassador for the Optical Women’s Association, and she recently joined the Emerging Optical Leaders through the Vision Council.
