In 2015, Utah passed the Contact Lens Consumer Protection Act to basically stop UPP. Alcon, B&L, and Johnson and Johnson fought it claiming it violated the Commerce Clause of the U.S. Constitution but the court didn’t buy it and decided to uphold the Act.
CooperVision already dropped UPP on MyDay, Clariti 1-day and Biofinity XR toric brands back in March. (via)
