New research presented at the American Academy of Ophthalmology showed that estrogen-only hormone replacement after ovary removal may be protective against glaucoma.
The study details:
Using data from over 3400 women, they found that “all women who had their ovaries removed and used estrogen-only hormone replacement therapy had a 9 percent lower odds of having glaucoma each year they took estrogen-only hormone replacement therapy”.
