Press Release:

Jenny Lynn Foundation set to donate $7,000 in 2022 to WellSpring Living

MARIETTA, GA. – The McGee Group, a family-owned, American eyewear company specializing in the design and manufacturing of eyewear, sunglasses, readers, and cases, is pleased to announce several new products and initiatives honoring the life and legacy of Co-Founder Jenny Lynn.

Each year, five percent of net profits from The McGee Group’s Jenny Lynn Eyewear, are allocated to support the work of the Jenny Lynn Foundation, which in turn uses those funds to support organizations that better the lives of women. The foundation will be partnering with Wellspring Living in 2023 to support the mission of “transforming lives of those at risk or victimized by sexual exploitation.”

This is the second consecutive year the foundation will work to support WellSpring Living, donating around $7,000 to the organization in 2022. Additionally, The McGee Group will donate complimentary glasses to anyone who goes through WellSpring Living’s program in 2023.

“When it came time to decide which non-profit to partner with first, it was an obvious choice to work with WellSpring Living,” said Matt McGee, EVP of The McGee Group. “One of the many philanthropic things Jenny Lynn did in her beautiful life was to be active in the WellSpring organization in the early years of its existence. There is no better way to honor her legacy and stay true to the mission of the Jenny Lynn Foundation than by continuing to support the work of this inspiring organization.”

In addition to this exciting partnership announcement, Jenny Lynn Eyewear also is releasing four new models to usher in 2023, including Brilliant which comes in Gold and Lavender. It’s an easy to wear, semi-rimless frame with an open temple concept featuring pear-shaped stones and acetate temple tips. Another model, Considerate, is available in Rose Gold and Silver and is a soft, teacup-shaped frame with crystal embellishments on the endpiece with a unique cutout detail.

Extraordinary, which is available in Blue and Berry, is an easy to wear acetate front frame with metal temples and a unique rope detailing with crystal accents. Available in Magenta and Teal, Jenny Lynn Eyewear’s final model, Majestic, features a flattering shape with a small stone endcap embellishment.

The brand seeks to have a wide-ranging assortment – one of the objectives for Jenny Lynn Eyewear is to allow every woman to find the frame that accents her skin tone and personal style through a wide array of sizes ranging from 48 to 57 and temple measurements extending to 145. The eyewear ranges from full-frame acetates and metals to semi-rimless and rimless styles.

Jenny Lynn was a mother, wife, and entrepreneur. As co-founder of The McGee Group, she was instrumental in fashioning the color palettes and intricate designs of the company’s initial offerings of eyeglasses and sunglasses. She passed away after a battle with cancer in 2008, but her inspiring legacy lives on at The McGee Group, driving the next generation of professional, creative women to lead with confidence and poise.
