What is Aveo?
It’s the newest online subscription-based contact lens retailer that sells monthly subscriptions of daily disposable contacts for $30/month or $310/year. All customers receive their first 30 lenses for free.
Tell me about the contacts.
They are called Aveo Hello and they’re daily disposable contacts made from omafilcon A material (same as Proclear 1 Day). They have aspheric optics, a class II UV blocker, and “AquaLock” hydration technology.
How does one get these contacts?
The patient will enter their doctors info and current contact lens powers, Aveo verifies the Rx with the doctor, and then the contacts get mailed out.
What about a fitting set?
No word on whether the company plans to distribute fitting sets to doctor offices.
