We are joined on this episode by Dr. Scott Schachter, a TFOS global ambassador a thought leader in the field of ocular surface disease. Dr. Schachter attended Southern California College of Optometry before opening his private practice in Pismo Beach, CA which places a special focus on ocular surface disease. He is an Adjunct Clinical Professor at Marshall B. Ketchum University and has presented scientific posters and published articles in peer-review scientific journals such as Optometry and Vision Science, ARVO, AAO, and AOA.
Dr. Schachter is the founder of Ocular Surface Academy which is an organization that provides a unique educational experience for doctors that combines cutting edge education on dry eye management with a fun wine tourism component. Dr. Schachter is also the founder of the OSDocs Facebook group which serves as a forum that brings together doctors from around the world who have an interest in ocular surface disease.
