The AOA is coming for Opternative.

The AOA sent Mark Zuckerberg a letter asking that Opternative ads be removed from Facebook.

Why?
It stems from a warning letter Opternative received from the FDA back in October 2017. They were told to stop marketing their mobile app because it was “adulterated” and “misbranded”. The FDA sent the letter because Opternative didn’t apply for marketing clearance or get medical device approval. This is in violation of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.

So, why the letter to Facebook?
The AOA is bringing this to Facebook’s attention since Opternative still markets it’s app-based vision test on Facebook. (via)
