When can I get the contact lens with Transitions?
TIME has announced their picks for the 50 best inventions for 2018 and a couple of eye things made the list. Acuvue Oasys with Transitions Light Intelligent Technology was at the top. The lens was FDA approved in April of this year and is expected to be available in the US in early 2019. Here is more info from their two studies measuring visual performance with these contacts. Also on the list is Aira, a subscription service that allows low vision and blind people to scan their surroundings using an app or special glasses. An Aira agent is available 24/7 to help them through a location or describe an object. The service starts at $99/month.
